Royal Marines Freedom of Glasgow 2014

Remembrance Events and Armed Forces Parades

On 1 November 2014 the Royal Marines were granted the Freedom of the City of Glasgow. The Royal Marines, veterans and cadets marched through the streets of Glasgow city centre and took part in a special ceremony in George Square where Lord Provost Sadie Docherty presented the honour to the Commandant General. 2014 marks the 350th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Marines.
