Remembrance Events and Armed Forces Parades
On 16 August 2014 Falkirk District Armed Forces Day took place in Grangemouth. Veterans and cadets paraded to the War Memorial in Zetland Park where a drumhead service was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The service was conducted by the Reverend Stephen Blakey, chaplain to 52nd Lowland 6th Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland.
