Victoria Cross and Korean War Memorials, Glasgow

Remembrance Events and Armed Forces Parades

The Victoria Cross is Britain's highest military award for valour. A memorial to Glasgow recipients of the Victoria Cross was unveiled, in Glasgow, in September 2007. The Korean War was fought between 1950-53 and a memorial was erected in 2006 to servicemen from the Glasgow area who gave their lives in the war. Both memorials lie close to Glasgow Cathedral in Kirk Lane which leads to the Bridge of Sighs at Glasgow Necropolis.
