Allied Special Forces Memorial Grove

A seat commemorates Vera Atkins, Special Operations Executive, who managed SOE agents sent into France during the 2nd World War. The seat is a tribute to her courage and those of her women agents who lost their lives. The fir tree in the middle of the seat was grown from a seed found in Natzweiler concentration camp, France.
