Remembrance Events and Armed Forces Parades
On 1 August 2016 Poles gathered at the memorial to Wojtek the Bear in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, to commemorate the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. A moment of silence was held at W Hour - 4pm (5pm Polish time) - the time the Warsaw Uprising started.
